Phentermine?

I took phentermine for a month. I went to the gym 4-5 times a week, cardio for 30-40 min, and weights for about another 30. i rarely ate any sweets, and cut back on the size of portions of my food. i only drank water and gatorade. and i saw no results at all. i weighed myself at the begining of the month and at the end. there was maybe a pound difference. did i do something wrong? did anyone else have results like mine? i’ve read that pretty much everyone that has taken this has lost about 10 pounds minimum. why is it i barely lost two pounds?

Answer:

You’re building muscle mass (through the weight lifting). Anytime you increase muscle mass while on a diet, it’s best not to rely on the scale and instead, rely on things like your clothes feeling looser (because muscle is denser than fat). You’re still losing fat and eventually, you’re muscle mass will become more stable (unless you keep increasing the weights), and your fat loss will begin to show up on the scale.

By the way, be careful with the Gatorade – it’s got sugar in it and is pretty much like drinking a regular soda. If you’re concerned about electrolytes, you can get a sugar-free electrolyte supplement called Electro Mix. You put it in your bottled water. They sell it at health food stores and you can read about it at http://www.alacer.com/cgi-bin/dbsearch.exe?mdb=/products.mdb,tbl=products,DB_code=108,DBCOMP=ABS,template=/products/returntitle.htm. I’ve been using it for years and it’s just as effective as Gatorade but without the sugar.
